hippie happy mond-Hay

well it's raining outside, so we thought we'd make our own *sunshine* inside, creating some sparkly things for some of our fave peeps and (here's the *school* part lol) WRITING LETTERS to accompany the pressies. don't wanna kill the moment though, so a couple of the letters are dictated by the lads and i'm the scribe. cos didn't ya H-A-T-E it when you were a kid and went to the zoo on a school trip and instead of just being able to soak it all in and make *monkey noises* at the monkeys and *giraffe noises* at the giraffes and *hippotamus* noises at the hippos/hippopotamuses/hippopotamii and read the info signs if you wanted to and discuss the eating habits of the Alligator mississippiensis, or not... and the teacher sent you around the zoo clutching a freaking fill-in-the-gaps sheet and it totally spoiled the whole visit?! i'm not sure why teachers think that Writing Stuff Down is *the* way to measure learning, perhaps cos that's the only way to keep track of a classroom full of kids...
*kate gets down off her soap box*
presenting the creators
full of concentration,
listening to Joe:

and (some of) the created:

(those *jokes*... where oh where do my kids get their randomness from?)
and *guess what?*
the love is totally going around the universe, cos i just popped out to the letter box and lookit what i found:

a luffly français card from The Chic Geek
and a gorgy *handmade* pressie.
yes, oh yes, this monday is turning out to be a very bright bright sunshiney day

oooo, see, I miss everything when I drop off the face of blogland huh?
I have been trying to rejoin real life. Totally scary. I now have over 200 emails in my yahoo account...really need to daily digest those groups.
We are trying a *dictatorship* experiment, there are rules, about rules, for rules on rules floating around here at the mo, including *gasp*, only 1 TV programme per person per day....otherwise de box is off! How long ya giving us?
Anyway, enough of blogging in your comments....how exciting!! Be checking the mail now... :o) XXXX

I have been trying to rejoin real life
    lol, watch out now.
    *confession*
i have totally done the opposite: have gone to ground, avoiding my real life while in D18-departure-limbo. two more sleeps.

    How long ya giving us?
ummm, is that a rhetorical question? i just have to answer it anyway... about as long as our
    laughing policeman headtrip
... would you believe we actually lasted about two weeks... totally back to normality (aka hotel livin') again now
much love and sparkly daze X

  5. Love that Super-Cool S10!!!!! The hair, the duds, the bling, and the lack of pink beads for the girlies. He should have been serenading them in the background, with an S10-twist on a Something About Mary theme, instead of an acoustic and 60's genre tunes, he could be leaping round - electric charged. I need some sleep xoxoxo

PS. I just called out to the kids "How old is S now?", and L5 replies "He's the same age as L10, only way cooler". Yeah baby. I still have his autograph, you know xoxoxo

  6. Cool creations from the boys. Very impressed. They could be my jewellery dressers any day.

And glad it gave some sunshine. Gotta give some back to the one emitting the sunshine the majority of the time ;)

  7. Hippy Happy Hay!!!
I came to this blog only b/c I googled *you* because I have been wondering about you, and worrying about you, since you dropped off of flickr and removed your blog-- we only corresponded a wee bit, but I miss your photos of your lovely family... Glad to hear you are okay...

And sunshiney Kate, thanks for the sparkling rays... I needed them today. :) I'll be back...
