kate5kiwis: On the Third Day of Christmas

kate5kiwis

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

On the Third Day of Christmas

Joel baked and iced and lolly-sprinkled
his very first Gingerbread House.

It actually took two days and a tremendous amount
of patience and dedication.

We are all in awe of his efforts
and we think The House
(aka REDWALL ABBEY) looks

exquisitely beautiful - and deeeee-licious!
(stop licking the screen!!! lol)

Hi ... I just landed here after hopping from Oh My. I just had to leave a comment to say that is one awesome gingerbread house. I love the 'feel' of your blog - cool music too.

Keep up the great work! :-)

Oh that is truly amazing. There is no way my son could produce anything like that. Or maybe he could???? I'll have to show him the photo and see what he thinks.

Far too good to eat.

Congrats to Joel on such an amazing creation.

That's INCREDIBLE - well done Joel! I made one of these - only once - and I so know about the patience, the structural architecture, the precariousness of it all... and my finished result was not a patch on yours - but regardless I really felt a huge sense of achievement!

You deserve to feel hugely proud of yourself Joel and that gingerbread house needs to have pride of place in your house!

Congratulations and have a fabulous Christmas!

J-Man, I'm shaking my head in awe! This has to be the most excellent house I've seen all season, the kids here think it's mad (I'm fairly sure that's the highest of compliments and not a serve!) I can't believe you haven't eaten it yet, talk about will power...
